Gunnar was born on April 29, 1928, in Paide, Estonia, son of Voldemar and Meta (Adelson) Ant.

Gunnar was very proud to eventually become a U.S. Citizen after spending time in a relocation camp in Germany. He would go on to honorable serve with his country with U.S. Army during the Korean War. Gunnar would meet and marry his wife, Iyla Ball, on October 14, 1969, and they were blessed with 48 years together, and 2 beloved daughters. He was a hard worker and earnestly applied his time with Feye Brothers Auto Body, and lastly with the U.S. Postal Service, until he finally retired in 1992. Gunnar was a devoted husband and father who valued the time he was able to spend with his family. He was also known for his positive attitude towards life, and the world around him, and also for his uncanny ability to lovingly agitate those he cared for.

Please pass on my deepest of sympathy to your family.
Also, I will say a prayer (or two) for you and please take this time to process this loss. You, like your Dad, are a hard worker and this is why I say this. You know your staff will trouble shoot anything that comes along.

Kindest thoughts,

We were shocked to get a note from Sue Lukisik that Gunnar had passed away. Our hearts go out to your entire family and especially to you, Iyla. Know that we are thinking about you, praying for you, and remembering the 48plus years of friendship. We always enjoyed our time together.
We will miss Gunner. Though lately we have not seen you often we always knew you were there. Consider yourself and the girls hugged.
Much love to you. Lue and Merle
