Thomas was a resident of Dubuque, Iowa at the time of passing.

In 1958 he graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Bernard, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 11th, 2019, at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Ghost Church with Rev. Dwayne Thoman officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10th, 2019, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a wake service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tom was born on August 9th, 1941 to Thomas "T.J." and Lucille (McDonald) Carr of Bernard Iowa. Visitation at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on March 10, 2019.

In lieu of flowers a Thomas W. Carr memorial fund has been established.
